Harga - Rue de la Mort
Harga Rue de la Mort is an independent report on human rights abuses in Tunisia following the election of Kais Saied in October 2019. The documentary focuses on the regime change following the soft coup by Saied in July 2021 and ignored by the Western press. The film includes many unpublished testimonies taken in hospitals in Sfax, in refugee camps on the border with Libya and during transhipments on rubber boats in the Strait of Sicily. The testimonies that emerge from the documentary show a civil cross-section that can hardly be combined with the concept: Tunisia Safe country.
The topic is very topical these days, given the signs of repression of
information to the detriment of many Tunisian journalists and the imprisonment of representatives
of civil society who are dealing with human rights in the country.

OFF THE MARK
„OFF THE MARK” is documentary about climate change, the “Green Shift” and plastic pollution in the Norwegian Finnmark.
Temperatures in Northern Norway are rising steadily and the destruction of the environment is increasing.
For years, the German dog mushers Willem and Steffi Betzel have felt the big changes in the wilderness first-hand. So, they decided to become active themselves to protect the fragile Arctic nature.
A first starting point is microplastic, because this clearly shows the influence of humans on the environment. Knowing how much pollution there is and where it comes from is the cornerstone of a nature conservation approach.
The people most affected by microplastics and climate change in the North are the Sámi,
one of the last indigenous peoples in Europe.
For the Sámi, living with nature means using nature.
The Arctic is warming three times as fast as the global average and it has already devastating consequences on wildlife, but also on cultural practices, like reindeer herding.
The Norwegian government believes that with the so called “Green Shift” the country will challenge energy security and climate change. The quest towards a low-carbon society requires the development of more renewable energy and the mining of more minerals.
But when the “Green Shift” becomes just an extraction of resources in Sámi areas it creates an existence-threatening situation that pushes the Sámi people to their physical and mental limits!

Cassandra Insköld's Last Word
Felicia, a trendy millennial, receives a necklace from the 1920s in the mail from her grandmother. Putting it on, she slowly transforms into Cassandra, who moved to Stockholm in 1924 expecting it to be a haven for free-spirited young women. Instead, she ends up abused by the married man she has started a relationship with and falsely accused of his death, committing suicide in prison. 100 years later she seeks redemption through Felicia, seducing and avenging men who remind her of the man who deprived her of her freedom.
Cassandra Insköld’s Last Word (its title also alluding to the popular 1920s cocktail) is a visual love letter to a forgotten era in Stockholm – the 1920s. It's full of vibrant hues, flappers, art deco locations and glowing neon signs. At the same time the film serves as a reminder that everything wasn’t better in the past, that the veil of nostalgia hides dark secrets and grave injustice (especially for young women).

In the Footsteps of Alexander Nevsky
The documentary is in Sign Language with subtitles in English language and voiced by deaf and hard of hearing people. Our film is not about deaf people. Our film is for all.
Two people speak Sign Language in a rural library. Kolya, who is hard of hearing, and Tanya, who is deaf. They are professional guides and invite viewers on a unique journey. The camera pulls back and the audience sees the entire film crew. The journey begins...
The film crew does not hide behind the scenes. The group finishes filming the scene, gets on a bus or a plane and goes to the next filming location in Italy, in Russia, in Mongolia.
This documentary in Russian Sign Language looks at the Russian Prince Alexander Yaroslavich Nevsky (1220 - 1263), famous for his campaigns, travels through the Mongol Empire and correspondence with the Pope. Tracing the hagiographic story of Alexander’s life, the film attempts to recreate an amazing picture of the world between East Asia and the Mediterranean in the time of Alexander. It also focuses on Giovanni da Pian del Carpini, a Franciscan monk, missionary and the first European traveller to Mongolia.
The film features a selection of unique items, such as a paiza of Uzbek Khan of the Golden Horde (mid-14th c.), the sword of Prince Daumantas of Pskov (late 13th c.), the manuscript of The Vita of St Alexander Nevsky (late 13th c.), on display in Russian museums; two letters from Pope Innocent IV to Prince Alexander (1248), a letter from Great Khan Guyuk to Pope Innocent IV (1246) at the Apostolic Archive of the Vatican and and an old copy of Carpini’s History of the Mongols (14th c.) from Biblioteca e Centro di Documentazione Francescana in Assisi.
