Can you please explain us about your two different names ? When you decide to be Peter Boiadzhieff and when Krassimir Nikov?
—GGIFF journalist
My real name is Krassimir, but I tell people to call me Kriss, because it’s easier to pronounce, but at my working process, when I make films, I use my stage name- Peter Boiadzhieff. When I moved to USA, I found out that people find hard to pronounce my real name, that’s why I decided to use an American name- Peter!

Two names- one dream
Peter Boiadzhieff a.k.a "Krassimir Nikov" is an American film maker of Bulgarian and Macedonian origin. He was fascinated with the entire process of movie making, writing the script, making the screen play, casting actors, filming, editing and distributing it on VHS at early age. When he was a teenager this was only way to escape from reality and used his imagination to develop stories and characters that would have a big impact on everyone lives!

It looks like you are trying your self in web-series genre.
Why exactly this type of filmmaking?
—GGIFF journalist
Well, my first work is more like experimental. “The Reporter from Ocoee with Love” is the first film, that I send to festivals, because I want to discover how the festivals are working. Anyway, I was still able to get some selections, but first of all, I made this film for my self and didn't expect from it anything special.

The Reporter from Ocoee with Love” was your director debut. How did this idea happen, why you decided to tell this story?
—GGIFF journalist
“The Reporter From Ocoee with Love” with love is more like a film about myself. I just wanted to report about different events in a special way.

"The Reporter Ocoee with Love"
"The Reporter" is one of the greatest characters where Kriss Boiadzhieff delivers the news in his own way, he has a dream to make the best rafting experience for everyone.

In your statement you say, that you want to make a film for big screens. Why you decided to start from short films and web series then?
—GGIFF journalist
At that time when I started making my first film, I didn’t have an availability to shoot a feature film. The decision to make web series or start with a short film, prepared me for creating a full length film. It’s very hard to shoot a feature film and move it to the big screens, when you are a fully independent filmmaker. As I said the "The Reporter from Ocoee with Love" was first film to try the platform FilmFreeway and I have 10 versions of that film. At the beginning I did not know how the festivals are working and I learned in hard way by trial and error.

When are you planning to shoot a feature film? Did you already started working on it?
—GGIFF journalist
I’m not ready, yet to make a feature film, but I already started working with other people here (Atlanta, USA) and we finished three episodes of a new TV Show, that is cold “Platinum Models of Atlanta”, I was one of the crew and worked as a camera operator. So, yes I have the ideas of a feature film, but at this moment I don’t have all resources to make a feature film. So, maybe in next 2-3 years it will happen!

How did your cinema career start ? The first steps were done in Bulgaria?
—GGIFF journalist
It started very long ago, when I was a small kid I really enjoyed watching different movies. When I lived in Bulgaria, I didn’t have an opportunity to create movies, but in USA, right now every one have access to camera, so they can go and make films. But not all of them can earn money from their films and make living from it. So, hear in America, I have the main stuff to make films, but it’s still far away from making this my mane work. Right now I’m just practicing and learning.

Tell us a little bit about cinema in Bulgaria. How is it being an indie filmmaker in Bulgaria?
—GGIFF journalist
Well, we have a lot of good actors and actresses and a lot of films are made or filmed in Bulgaria. Unfortunately we have only to main channels that show movies, and of course we have big difference with USA, when we talk about the access to resources, that filmmakers need, to create a movie.

Watching your work we were wondering about the “Yeti” that appears sometimes, what does he mean, we couldn’t figure it out?
—GGIFF journalist
Ahah, actually I’m so much obsessed about this Bigfoot, because I didn’t know how to do the CGI effects, so I asked some people to do it, but they wanted so much money for creating a Bigfoot. So, I decided to buy a costume and at the end, I bought Yeti instead of the Bigfoot, and realised it only after purchase!

In what genre you are planning to make your first full length film?
—GGIFF journalist
I really like dark comedy and mystery genres, but I need to find really good people- professionals, who can make the CGI and other technical aspects, because I want a lot of that in my film. Actually, what I like about web-series, is that you can make them as much as you like, and when you shoot a feature film, after you made it, you are done.

Making dream come true
He is fascinating with film creation starting from the story/plot, casting, filming, editing and distributing the final cut. He just loves making film and he hopes to release the next film on big screen.
"I love making films for pure entertainment and fulfillment. A successful film maker is a person who is able to make the project alive to the big screen, internet, is he going to make money out of it, this is another topic!"

What is the next step in your career after finishing a festival run?
—GGIFF journalist
Well, I have a lot of stories, that I can put in a short film or make a web-series and I really want to make a film for the audience, but at this point, I’m still learning how to shoot films.
